The typical structural evolution of silicon anode

چکیده

Due to its high theoretical capacity, silicon is the most promising anode candidate for future lithium-ion batteries with energy density and large power. Yet low conductivity poor structural stability resulting from huge volume expansion after full lithiation are still critical issues impacting practical applications of anodes. This review unveils how designs address these challenges outlines evolution Up now, six generations have been proposed anodes, encompassing solid nanostructures, porous structures, core-shell yolk-shell high-tap-density packed carbon-nanotube-improved structures. The improvement principles deployed anodes can provide valuable guidance rational design other electrode materials that undergo changes. In this review, Zhang et al. summarized typical silicon-based materials. Furthermore, current limitations fabrication methods some directions also discussed.
